Aaron Kyle is a Specialist Building and Construction Lawyer and Certified / Accredited Mediator. He is in strong demand for his practical building and construction expertise and ability to relate to the disputing parties. He is in the 1% of Accredited Mediators and Lawyers with a practical background and qualifications in Construction, Engineering and Law. Aaron takes a practical approach in assisting the parties to resolve their disputes. He is focused on practical outcomes and has the ability to preserve and enhance the relationship between disputing parties as terminating the relationship between owners and contractors can often be detrimental to the dispute or project. An ideal outcome is that an agreement can be made between the disputing parties within a single-day mediation hearing. 

 

Aaron is a Construction Lawyer having studied a combined Juris Doctor (Law) / Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. He is admitted as a Solicitor of both the High Court of Australia, and the Supreme Court of New South Wales. Aaron has worked in both private practice and in-house as well as various appointments including under appointment of the Office of the New South Wales Building Commissioner – Mr David Chandler, through ‘Project Intervene’. Other qualifications include a Bachelor Construction Management (Hons), Graduate Diploma Mining Engineering and dual qualifications as a Licensed Builder / Building Practitioner in Australia. He has exclusively trained and studied under World-leading pioneers of Mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) including Professor Tania Sourdin and Dr Laurence Boulle. 

 

Building defects, quantum and cost overruns, time delays, contractual disputes, and commercial transactions between parties’ and personal injury reporting relating to litigation disputes have formed the bulk of his expertise involved in litigation disputes. In addition to this, Aaron is able to draw upon his extensive professional and practical experience with previously leading construction contractors, property developers and project management firms and organisations with over twenty (20) years’ experience in construction and project management. Prior to becoming a Lawyer, Aaron worked in leading roles including Construction Manager, Project Director, Project Manager, Contracts Administrator, Project Engineer, Estimator, Project Co-Ordinator and Licensed Architectural Custom Builder / Contractor.
