Dr Emad Hussein
Dr Emad Hussein is an independent international arbitrator and accredited mediator specializing in research and ADR capacity building projects in the MENA region.
He has been appointed in arbitrations under UNCITRAL, ICC, LCIA, SCCA, DIAC, CRCICA and ADCCAC Rules in the fields of construction, supply chain management, commercial partnerships and media. He has mediated cases under ad-hoc and institutional mediation rules in the Gulf States. He is a fellow as well as an Approved Faculty List Member at the CIArb and an accredited mediator by CEDR & SIMI. He has trained arbitrators and mediators in the MENA region under the CIArb fellowship program and SCCA mediation training.
He is presently a Senior Research Fellow with the Singapore International Dispute Resolution Academy and leads research on the development and promotion of ADR in the MENA region.
He holds a PhD focusing on International Commercial Arbitration in the mainland UAE from SOAS, University of London, a PhD in Family-Owned Business and Entrepreneurship Legacy from ISM, New York and obtained his LLM in International Arbitration from the Queen Mary University of London, London.
