Lubna is a UK qualified solicitor, practicing since 2003. She co - founded a practice in London, specializing in commercial property matters and litigation for offshore companies, private investors, property developers and landlords on their portfolios. She has also deals extensively with general company and commercial matters

She is qualified as a civil and commercial mediator accredited through the Chartered Institute of Arbitration (CIArb) and recognized by the commercial mediation council (CMC) and Singapore Mediation Institute (SIMI). She has been involved in conducting civil and commercial mediation on an international basis as well as in Dubai, on issues such as employment and shareholder disputes, handling contractual disputes across a wide range.

Lubna is also a qualified family mediator, working frequently with clients in the UAE and the UK, helping them navigate through separation and divorce. Specializing in assisting high net worth clients to negotiate financial settlements she also deals with child issues and is specialized in child inclusive mediation, involving the children into the mediation process to help realign and support co-parenting.

Her mediation style is to create a comfortable and collaborative environment for parties to help them fully explore and identify windows of opportunity.

She is passionate about the promotion of mediation within the region and is working on a project with a large entity to create a mediation service center. She is also heavily involved with creating and delivering professional training at the DIFC Academy and internationally on contractual and company law issues and disputes, arbitration, mediation and negotiation and is a frequent speaker at conferences on these issues.

Lubna is also a senior lecturer at Middlesex university on the law undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes, having previously taught on the legal practice course (LPC) at BPP University in London. A senior fellow of the Higher Education Academy she also holds an MA in International Law, Economics & amp; Diplomacy from SOAS (University of London).
