Magalie Zoghbi
Magalie Zoghbi Helou is a certified Mediator, Trainer, and Lawyer registered with the Beirut Bar Association, specialized in Medical Law and Mediation in the healthcare sector. A former LRC paramedic, she served her community for seven years, gaining firsthand experience of the importance of clear and compassionate communication in medical practice.
Magalie is also an experienced lecturer, teaching mediation and clinical communication to master’s students, mediators, and professionals from diverse backgrounds since 2018 at “Université de Lorraine” in France, Saint Joseph University of Beirut (ISSP), and CEMA Paris (Centre d’Enseignement des Modes Amiables).
Her expertise extends to the corporate healthcare sector, where she consults healthcare facilities on establishing internal conflict management departments. In fact, she co-created the Mediation department at Clariane (formerly Korian Group), aimed at fostering a mediation culture across their 400+ healthcare facilities. Magalie provided conflict management training to over 100 facility managers across multiple cities, and co-developed a program on active listening, de-escalation techniques, and advanced mediation, and provided support on ongoing mediation cases.
Magalie is a regular speaker at industry conferences and seminars since 2019, advocating for the integration of mediation in the healthcare sector. She also published an article in 2023 following her intervention in the seminar “Relations hôpital – prison” in France, where she shared insights of her research on the medical relationship between Lebanese hospitals and prisons.
Driven by her passion for human connection, Magalie founded her company, HearTTalk, to expand her reach and impact. HearTTalk’s mission is to empower organizations and healthcare professionals develop adequate human skills to effectively communicate and prevent conflict through interactive training, advisory, and mediation services, all aligned with a Value-Based Health Care approach. HearTTalk has offered support to diverse healthcare institutions such as hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and clinics in the Middle East and in Europe.
Magalie holds dual mediation diplomas, the first earned in 2013 from the “Centre Professionnel de Médiation” at Saint Joseph University (USJ) in Beirut, where she also co-founded the university’s first Mediation Club. She obtained her second diploma in 2022 from “Université de Lorraine” Nancy, France, alongside a master’s degree in medical law (2018), with both programs culminating in thesis focused on healthcare mediation.
Magalie is fluent in Arabic, English, and French.
