Pia Ephrem

Pia Ephrem is a qualified Lawyer and a member of the Beirut Bar Association since 2021. She has been in practice since 2017 at Azar & Associates Law Firm Beirut, Lebanon.

Pia holds a Master in International Management from Esa Business School in partnership with the University of Poitier France. She also has a Master in International Affairs and Diplomacy from Esa Business School and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR). She pursued a Diploma in Mediation and Conciliation from the Lebanese Association for Mediation and Conciliation (LAMAC) in 2020, further enhancing her skills in conflict resolution. As part of her commitment to continuous professional development, she is actively participating throughout the years in a training program consisted of a series of workshops covering various legal cases and sessions aimed at enhancing her skills in conflict resolution and Mediation.

During the period from February 2023 to August 2023, she had the privilege of serving as an intern in the office of the Deputy Registrar at the International Court of Justice in The Hague, Netherlands. This prestigious opportunity allowed her to be involved in the complexities of international law and diplomacy. Throughout her internship, she actively participated in various projects within the court, contributing her insights and skills to the resolution of complex legal matters. She worked on the internal justice system of the court, highlighting the importance of resolving work-related disputes, within the court, informally, through Mediation. Handling several cases, with a focus on cases requiring mediation processes. She had the opportunity to witness first hand the difficulties of international disputes and the diplomatic efforts required to resolve them. This experience provided her with a unique perspective on the role of mediation in fostering peaceful resolutions to conflicts on a global scale.
