Zeina Kesrouani

Zeina Kesrouani is a Lawyer, registered with the Beirut Bar Association since 1997 and  practicing at the office of Me Issam Khoury (former President of the Beirut Bar Association - former Minister of Education and Defense), Beirut, Lebanon. 

She is an expert in Human Rights and Alternative Dispute Resolution (A.D.R.), especially in  arbitration, mediation, dispute resolution, negotiation, and facilitation. 

She has been a Mediator since 2012, practicing in Lebanon and internationally in commercial,  workplace, social, family, and intercultural mediation. She is a CEDR-accredited mediator. She has also been a lecturer and trainer in conflict resolution, mediation, and peacebuilding since  2014. 

Her expertise, teaching, training, and seminars focus on conflict management, dispute resolution,  mediation, peacebuilding, and human rights. She regularly intervenes in these fields,  implementing and developing training and activities for various national and international  institutions, addressing various audiences, sectors, and ages. 

She regularly intervenes nationally and internationally as a speaker on mediation in various  forums and congress, including the World Forum of Mediation Centers of the International  Union of Lawyers (U.I.A.) and the Beirut Bar Association (B.B.A.), and has published articles  on mediation. 

She was the former Chairman of the first Mediation Section of the Legal Aid Committee at the  Beirut Bar Association. She contributed to establishing the structure and mechanism for  mediation processes relating to judicial cases that benefited from legal aid from the Beirut Bar  Association. 

She regularly acts as an Expert Assessor at national and international mediation competitions  (such as, but not limited to, the International Commercial Mediation Competition organized by  the International Chamber of Commerce (I.C.C.) of Paris and the C.D.R.C. competition in  Vienna, "IBA-VIAC Mediation & Negotiation Competition"). 

She is a member of several national and international organizations, including the International  Association of Lawyers since 2013 and a member of the Executive National Committee of the  International Union of Lawyers since 2015. 

She holds a Master 2 in International and European Law of Fundamental Rights from the Faculty  of Law and Political Sciences of the University of Nantes, France; a Professional Master in Law 

(D.E.S.S.) in Litigation, Arbitration and Alternative Methods of Dispute Resolution of the  Faculty of Law and Political and Administrative Sciences of the Lebanese University – Francophone branch (in cooperation with Université Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas); a Bachelor of Law  from the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of the Saint Joseph University of Beirut (U.S.J.);  and a University Diploma "Certificate of Aptitude for the Professional Practice of Mediation"  from the "Centre Professionel de Médiation" of the Saint Joseph University of Beirut (C.P.M. – U.S.J.) in cooperation with the "Institut de Formation à la Mediation et à la Negotiation"  (I.F.O.M.E.N.E.) of the "Institut Catholique de Paris" (I.C.P.) and the Association of European  Mediators (A.M.E.). 

She is fluent in three languages (Arabic, French, and English).
